These are the hallmarks of NHE, gaining traction as one of the most entertaining and unique Contemporary Acoustic Instrumental groups in the United States. The ensemble has forged a refined sound which few groups achieve. Individually, these six musicians have won a string of awards and nominations including Grammy nominations and wins, ZMR nominations and wins, Player of The Year awards and acclaim from Publishers Weekly, Amazon & Audio File Magazine. The reach of their activities is constantly expanding, taking them throughout the U.S. and world.
Mosby is tireless in his quest to create new compositions and arrangements for the ensemble. Shaped by classic American musical traditions, the musicians are naturally at home in the vocal and instrumental music of American Jazz, Folk, New Age and Pop. They revel in performing these styles as well as the performance of new repertoire in the unique area of contemporary acoustic instrumental music.
Part of their work is devoted to encouraging the up-and-coming generation, so teaching and workshops are part of their regular schedule, both at home and in their travels. It’s no wonder that New Horizons Ensemble, with its unique line-up of, vocals, woodwinds, acoustic guitars, piano, bass and percussion is gaining more and more fans with each performance.

Todd Mosby: Most recent recording nominated in 3 categories for Global Peace Song Awards, placed top ten 2017ZMR album of the year. 2x Global music awardee, member of the famed Imdhad Khani Gharana of musicians, India's royal family of music, undergraduate work at Berklee College of Music, BA Music Business, MM Music Composition.
Michael Manring: Grammy nominated, master of the fretless bass, soloist without rival. Michael pioneered the solo bass performance concept. Along with Michael Hedges they developed a style of instrumental performance with persists to this day. As the bass voice of Windham Hill Records, he has recorded as performed extensively with Michael Hedges, Mark Isham, Will Ackerman to name a few.
Premik R. Tubbs: An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he performs on flutes, soprano, alto, tenor saxophones, wind synth and lap steel guitar. Premik started his career with John McLaughlin and has performed and or recorded with Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Clarence Clemons, Ornette Coleman, Jackson Browne, Jean-Luc Ponty, Lonnie Liston-Smith, James Taylor, Sting and Lady Gaga just to name a few.
Jeff Haynes: A Grammy winning percussionist, Jeff has toured with everyone from the Pat Metheny Group, Al Jarreau, Cassandra Wilson, and Lizz Wright to Harry Belafonte and Peabo Bryson and his chops can be heard on nearly 200 CDs. Jeff was the clear choice for Brian Blade’s all-star band for two tributes for the legendary Joni Mitchell, performing with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Esperanza Spalding, Chaka Khan, Aimee Mann.

Bryan Toben: A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bryan Toben was born in Saint Louis, Missouri to an extremely musical family. By the time he was a junior in high school, Bryan was performing publicly around town at local cafes and restaurants accompanied by classmate, Lola.
